SA-ldapsearch for Windows App - Need to turn off SSL

I'm trying to do ldaptestconnection from SA-ldapsearch and it is working fine without SSL.
However, everytime I saved the configuration with SSL unticked, the SSL box is always ticked when I come back to the configuration page.

Is it possible to leave the SSL unticked? or is it a compulsory requirement for SA-ldapsearch to use SSL? If so how do I get it working because I got an error saying that 'Could not access the directory service at ldaps;socket ssl wrapping error;[Errno 10054];An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host'.

Thanks,
Johan

Hi johant,
it's a know issue that will be solved in the new version of this App.
Open a Tickect to Splunk Support and, as a workaround, they send a modified jar to solve the problem waiting for the new version.

Bye.

Actually its all working now. as long as its saved with it unticked and the test worked, then I can drop out to the normal splunk search and run "|ldapsearch etc"

Its only when you go back in to the config that it automatically adds the SSL tick, so im not going back in there again now its working.

have you added any thing for the ssl.conf file for the SA-Ldapsearch add-on?

Same issue here. tried turning it off from both Web interface AND the ldap.conf.
But its always turned back on when I go back in.
