Link Switcher Bug after upgrading from 6.4 to 6.5.1

Hi,

We use the visualization, Link Switcher, in many of our apps.

Yesterday we made an upgrade from 6.4.2 to 6.5.1 and unfortunately we encountered a bug.

In 6.4.2 when you define some links (e.g static choices: Table Chart Map Blabla) in a panel - all of the choices will be in the same line on the screen.

In 6.5.1 then you will get (with the same choices) 2 lines on the screen.

This is problematic and not looks good on the screen - The User Experience and the Screen Space are disturbed (The panel size is bigger with a lot of white place for nothing).

In the new Splunk 6.x Dashboard Examples app, within the Link Switcher Example, the bug showing also - I expected that someone saw it before publishing.

Please Help us to fix it, I imagine that this is important for many customers.

Thanks,

Omer.

Hi omerr,
only a stupid question: did you upgraded only dashboard or also JS?
I had a problem like yours, solved upgrading also the related JS.
And be sure to have the last version.
Bye.

Giuseppe - I didn't understand your question.

I don't know what you mean about upgrade dashboard? or JS? - Can you explain please...

Update:

The problem is more widely then I thought.

When you develop a dashboard, there is an option with js to control the width of panels (custom_layout_width.js).
After the upgrading, we saw that the Link Switcher is not wirking with the configuration of this layout width (works before) - It's working just for the first time the page loading and when you select different option within the Link Switcher - it's back to original width (e.g 2 panels in row: 35%-65%, after click on other link, back to 50%-50%).

Hope someone can help with those issues.

Thanks,

Omer.
