Licensing Error

I'm receiving this error.

Error in 'litsearch' command: Your Splunk license expired or you have exceeded your license limit too many times.

What causes this and how do I remedy this error? I was running a trial version of Enterprise and switched to the free license using Cisco CDR for Splunk.

It means that somehow you exceeded the capacity of your Splunk Enterprise license. Most often this happens from indexing data other than the Cisco CDR data but we can figure it out.
