The description on the Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange says,"This app requires a paid license to use. "The trial license lasts for 60 days"
However, it started giving me 100s of "License expired or not found" messages on the first day itself, of its install.
How can I use the app on trial license ?

Make sure you are using the latest version of the exchange app i.e. v3.4.2. It can be downloaded from https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1660/
You could follow below steps based on your license server:
1) If you are using the standalone deployments (i.e. SH, IDX and License Master server on the same machine),
-- You can check if the license is installed/applied successfully on the machine from Splunk UI -> Settings -> Licensing page. It should show "App-Exchange Download Trial" license and its status should be valid.
-- If it isn't showing the Exchange app license there then you can try to install the license manually from Splunk UI -> Settings -> Licensing -> Add License. You can get the license from exchange app bundle "splunk_app_microsoft_exchange\bin\splunk_app_microsoft_exchange.timebomb.lic". Restart the Splunk.
2) If you are using the remote license server then make sure Exchange app demo license is installed on the remote license server. You can follow steps mentioned in point 1 to install the exchange app demo license on the remote license server. Restart the remote license server and then restart the Splunk search head.
Thanks,
Pratik
