Is it possible to use Splunk db connect with Splunk Free license?

So, I want to know is it possible to connect Splunk db connect with Splunk Free license in present day?

@saibal6, what is your use case for trying DB Connect with Free License?

You can try Scripted input to have your Script read data from your Database and push the same to Splunk. Refer to an example: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/AdvancedDev/ScriptExample

With free splunk you can only install app and check db drivers but you can't create any entity. Refer below link:
