I have a few use cases where adding additional information to the "Description" field in ServiceNow incidents would be beneficial. Adding description="xxx" under Custom Fields does not seem to work unfortunately, and the last update I saw regarding this was a forum post from 2018 where someone had suggested to edit the .py files in the add-on to create this functionality.
Are there any current or future plans to add the "description" field to the official Splunk Add-on for ServiceNow?
Hello @jwmt24 As of now "Description" field can be used from Custom Fields itself there is no dedicated field for description field. if you are looking to have it dedicatedly supported you have to submit your ideas at IDEAS portal.
