How to modify sourcetype ingested through AWS Kinesis Firehose?

Hello,

We are migrating to the cloud and we are using AWS Kinesis to ingest log data from our servers. The Splunk Add-On comes with pre built sourcetypes like aws:firehose:text. Raw data is supposed to feed through this sourcetype however I do not want all of my sourcetypes coming from windows, linux, marklogic etc to read aws:firehose:text as the sourcetype. How do I modify this? Is any documentation out that explains this? The sourcetypes are required since kinesis uses HEC to connect and send data. If I modify the sourcetype at the indexer after it has passed the HEC, will this work?
