Extend NMon Metricator HEC

Hi Metricators,

 

thanks for Metricator, I have now used it for a few weeks to get take a look at my systems health. It is a very comprehensive app, well thought out and quite quick to start with.

How I would approach extending Metricator with custom metrics? E.g. when adding similar values like temperatures, hdd smart values or power / ups statistics. Is that something I could and should put into metricator as well? Or would it be easier to keep Metricator as it is and use the classic collectd Metrics path?
