Exported addon from Splunk addon builder but unable to see inputs or configuration form

Exported addon from Splunk addon builder but inputs,configuration page everything is loading for a long and not able to see any inputs form or configurations form.

(Just come across this question, hence answering now, just in case anyone need help on this in the future.)

There could be multiple reasons why the Add-on UI is not loading.

• Incorrectly configured Add-on from the backend.
• Missing config or spec file.
  • Generally happens on classic Splunk Cloud instance as it removes the inputs.conf.spec and inputs.conf files.
• The user doesn't have admin access.

If you are facing the issue on Splunk Cloud:

• Use IDM machine in Splunk Cloud - https://www.splunk.com/en_us/blog/platform/introducing-inputs-data-manager-on-splunk-cloud.html
• Go to Splunk Cloud Victoria experience, as it will allow you to run inputs on the search head.

If you are facing the issue in an On-prem environment:

• Make sure you have not misconfigured anything from the backend.
• Make sure you have all the configuration files properly as they came from Splunkbase.
• Also, you can run index=_internal "error", to find more details.

i am facing similar problem I am creating an addon with modular input using python. While testing the app /add-on it was all ok in the addon-builder but after I finish all the things ,and then open the created addon /app , then the input tab is taking forever to show the page. I also noted that whenever I am putting password text box while creating the add-on then only this is happening.

I am using

Splunk Version: 7.2.7
Splunk Build: f817a93effc2

Do you mean you exported one addon, and then imported to another Addon Builder? What's the Splunk version and error message?
