Drill down in embedded Google map

Hello all,

I recently created an Advanced XML view in a Splunk app that superimposes geoip data on a Google map. So far, I have been unable to get "drilldown" to work; when I click a number cluster on the map, the map only zooms in.

Is this a known issue with embedded Google maps? Has anyone gotten drilldown to work properly in an embedded Google map?

I have tried this using Google Maps 1.1 and 1.2, Splunk 4.3 and 5.0.

My view uses code from the following Splunkbase answer:

Thanks!

It's not an issue. If you read the .js code of the module you see this behavior is intended:

// Since drilldown cannot accept ranges or multiple values, we have to get down to a single displayed marker in
// order to handle a single drilldown value over to the downstream modules.

So you will zoom in until you get a single element and if you click on it, you will be redirected to the search.
