Deploying Splunk for Active Directory confusion

I'm trying to deploy Splunk for AD app on a central Splunk instance and the documentation on Splunk is a bit confusing to me. Can anyone tell me the exact steps to deploy this app I've looked through all of the documentation on Splunk, this is what I've done so far:
On the Splunk server:
1.) Configured the activedirectory.conf file in the default folder.
2.) Copied eventtypes.conf file to the local folder in the AD app
On the Universal Forwarder: (Windows Server 2003)
1.) Installed KB968930 (powershell and winRM)
2.) Changed the GPO to enable Powershell support
3.) Copied the TAs from the Splunk server into the SPLUNK_HOME%\etc\apps folder on the forwarder.
What else needs to be done? Reading the README.txt within the AD app folder and then reading the online documentation I see there is a HUGE difference...

Where is the documentation for the activedirectory.conf file? Please share if you know. Thanks.

In the SA-LDAPSearch, the file is now called ldap.conf.

I'm sure Adrian will respond but take a quick look here in the meantime. http://blogs.splunk.com/2012/10/21/splunk-app-for-active-directory-and-the-top-10-issues/
