DB connect 3.3.0 won't load initial welcome screen - blank page

Hi,

I'm using Splunk 8.0.3 with DB connect 3.3.0. After the installation of DB connect, I'm trying to configure DB connect. However, the "welcome" screen keeps "loading" and stays blank:

http://localhost:8000/de-DE/app/splunk_app_db_connect/ftr#/welcome

Any suggestions? I couldn't find anything using google/ splunk answers.
