Categories is blank

I have setup Splunk App for Unix in my linux environment, ~30 hosts so far. I originally created 4 groups to divide my machines by environment, and want to change those groups. However, When I go to Settings/ Categories, the column headings for Categories, Groups, Hosts in and Hosts Not In are there, but there are no machines in any of the columns. I've restarted the search head, but that didn't help. Can anyone suggest any help?

Best idea? Delete all of your groups and categories, re-create them, and then re-assign your hosts.
