Can we run Splunk DB Connect 1 and DB Connect 2 on the same Splunk instance?

We are in the process of upgrading to DB Connect 2. Can a DB Connect 2 instance be installed alongside DB Connect 1 so that we can continue to receive data and use our present reports while we upgrade?
