Can the splunk addon for NR tag events and do other necessary aliasing, etc to get the data compliant with the CIM? Our use case here is monitoring all this data with ITSI and being able to use prebuilt KPIs would be a huge win for us.

There is an ITSI module for APM data coming for New Relic & App Dynamics in the works right now. This will use a DM that isn't a part of CIM. The Data models that are used with ITSI Modules are actually all independent of CIM.
