Can the Splunk App for Unix and Linux be installed on Splunk Cloud?

If so, can it be installed by the user, or does this require a ticket to install on the server?

Yes, you can use this App with Splunk Cloud. File a ticket or work with your sales representative to arrange the installation. The Splunk Cloud documentation also provides general information on App usage with Splunk Cloud: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/SplunkCloud/latest/User/GetSplunkCloudapps.
