Can Cisco IOS and Cisco Security Suite (with Firewall addition) co-exist on same splunk instance?

I can make either the IOS app or the Security Suite work but not both together. I believe it is related to both apps defining an IOS event but in different ways. However I am quite new to this and a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, if you're running Cisco Security Suite 3.0 they can both co-exist without any modifications.

this may be old - but the Cisco Security Suite was re-vammped and just released version 3.0.
