Are we able to enable cron style schedule for the custom Query input?

Are we able to enable cron style schedule for the custom Query input?  We have a use case where we want to run a Solarwinds query once per day at a certain time.  

I've tried updating the inputs.conf file and it checks ok.  The log shows it shedule and reschedule for the next time, but no data shows up.
