After upgrading Splunk to 6.2.1 and the Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange to 3.1.1, why am I getting launch error "This webpage has a redirect loop"?

After upgrading to Splunk 6.2.1 and the the latest Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange 3.1.1 branch, the Exchange App gives a redirect error when you launch it: "This webpage has a redirect loop"

This is on a Search Head Pool, but the app is also broken for Search Head Clustering

1) Please note that the Exchange App 3.0.3 and prior versions which are supported only for Splunk 6.1 and prior versions are expected to work with Search Head Pooling.

2) For the later release of the Exchange App (i.e 3.1 and above), which require Splunk Version 6.2, is not expected to work with Search Head Pooling and Search Head Clustering.

Here are few bugs open for this:

For SHC, this known issue was already published here in Bug# TAG-8776: should only do FTR on one of the search heads in a SHC/SHP

For SHP not working with the Splunk Exchange App 3.1 and above we have Bug: TAG-9208: Exchange app -- Need to test ExChange app running on the SHP configuration setting

Note that this is also true for Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure. The app does not currently work with search head pools or search head clusters. (TAG-8776, TAG-9208)
