After installing the Add-on for JIRA, why is Splunk not launching with error "404 Not Found"?

Hi All,

I installed Add-on for JIRA on splunk, but after I launch the Add-on, I get this error.

404 Not Found

Page not found!
View more information about your request (request ID = 55261062267fe7843a3710) in Search

I tried reinstalling the app, but in vain. Please advise. Are there some specific steps to follow or some conf file to change.
What am I missing here?

Ok this makes a lot of sense now. The JIRA Add-On is simply a collection of custom search commands and not an app with views or UI. As such, trying to "launch" this app will fail. Rather, once installed, you should be able to run the commands in any app in your Splunk instance.

In order to fully configure the commands, you will need to follow the documentation laid out here - https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1438/#/documentation to tell the commands where your JIRA is located and what credentials to use.

At what point are you getting this error? The Add-on only contains custom search commands and should not affect your Splunk instance in this manner.
