Hello

While updating an alert on the search head in a search head cluster, I got an error:

Encountered the following error while trying to update: Client is not authorized to perform requested action

I can't update any searches, some scheduled searches have become "unscheduled", and I can't edit and save.

Any ideas?

I figured out the issue, was difficult to find.
Seems that several of our search heads in the cluster had gotten their authentication.conf edited and they were hitting the incorrect LDAP host. The captain was one of these hosts.

Were you able to update the search/alert before? Does your roles has write permission on it?
