I have a Splunk Cloud (trial) version and I'm exploring this service.

How can I enable REST API service for testing?

What is the endpoint for REST API?

Its there, put a input- in front of your hostname. and its listening on 8089.

example:

$ curl -k -u kyle:password https://input-prd-p-lbtde337wtp8.cloud.splunk.com:8089/servicesNS/admin/search/data/indexes -d name=test123

I just confirmed that the Cloud Trial edition does not support the REST API in this post: https://answers.splunk.com/answers/665067/401-unauthorized-rest-api-splunk-cloud-trial.html

Does this still work? I get a timeout error when I try this on my trial.
