I'm using Splunk for different sourcetypes and able to create reports just fine.
I've also downloaded lots of free Splunk apps from splunkbase.com
I'm also looking to get some specific web analytic reports and/or web statistics, like which sites are being hit the most, which haven’t been hit in a while and need to be retired, how many users each hour, per day, total number of unique visits, etc.
However, I do not think Splunk has an app with these kind of reports already created, so wondering if/when that might become available.
We just launched a new app call Splunk App for Web Analytics that might help you out.

Sideview Web Analytics went up a couple weeks ago and I've been getting a lot of positive feedback on it.

It's pretty amazing as it is, and some obvious missing features are being added over the next few months, like export buttons and saved searches and dashboards etc. It's very different in approach from the more standard app that Splunk used to have up on Splunkbase. See for yourself.
You're right -- looks like the app was removed from Splunkbase, search can't find it either.
I think this link is broken. Either that or the Web Analytics App was removed from Splunkbase
We actually do have an app developed internally by the S&I team called WebAnalytix but it never made it's way onto splunkbase. You could probably help get it there by pinging Ledion or Sorkin and offering to test-drive it...
