Reporting

How do I collect and report on the IBM v7000 SAN device? Does anyone have any specific suggestions?

I am implementing a new Splunk environment and I am attempting to account for performance reporting and forecasting. I have several IBM V7000s in my environment, my goal is to bring everything into Splunk, as a central repository. I do not see any direct IBM V7000 add-on in SplunkBase and I need to collect data from these devices. Thank you in advanced.

hello there,

IBM V7000 Storwize can send syslog messages.
configure it according to your preference:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/ST3FR7/com.ibm.storwize.v7000.641.doc/svc_settingupsy...
send data directly to splunk or to a syslog server and monitor files with a forwarder
nice article here:

hope it helps
