Will a Splunk Management Console (DMC) be able to understand a multi-hierarchical environment?

When viewing the topology in the Distributed Management Console, what would be the expected result when running in a highly distributed/hierarchical way? For instance, if I have one level of forwarder/indexer(IDX)/search head(SH) reporting up to a higher level of IDX/SH and each of these levels is clustered, what would I expect to see in the topology view of the DMC?

The concern is whether or not Splunk DMC will understand the hierarchy.

The DMC topology will show search head to indexer peering relationships. Forwarders aren't displayed in the topology view. You won't see anything in regards to data forwarding relationships between search heads and indexers, either.
