Migration of Splunk with different hostname but same IP?

Hi all,

Totally new to Splunk and trying to read docs and understand how it works.

Basically I have inherited a "test" config which will/is becoming "live".

Splunk was installed on a VM but I was asked to migrate to a physical box (Win 2008 R2 to Win 2008 R2). Following the docs and migration seems to have gone well (I kept the same IP address but changed the hostname of the system hosting Splunk). I then shut down the VM and, only using the physical box now, when I go to check "indexers" it is still showing the VM hostname rather than the new physical host.

Do I need to change any sort of ini file, etc to reflect the change?

Help is much appreciated.
