What is the Splunk forwarder installation procedure for AIX

Hello Splunkers,

I need to install Splunk forwarder on my AIX machine. Can someone please share step by step procedure?

Also, I just ended up Untar the package. But I am not able to see Var directory.
Below are the contents:

Since the installation package is a .tar file you should be able to use the guidelines for *nix installations:

Go please to the bin directory and run ./splunk start as the proper Unix user. Let's see how it behaves ; -)
