Hi All,
I was wondering if there's any documented variables for the VM / Server name that the search head is running on? We have several SHs and would like to include the name of the VM which the customer land's on preferably on the footer or at least on the login page.
Please direct me to how this could be done.
Thanks in advance.

This is an acceptable answer.
Thank for the response thus far.
I have seen the attached document you mentioned. However, what was trying to do is exposed some of more general server variables as shown in web.conf or server.conf - https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.5.2/Admin/Serverconf . For example, serverName, is there a method for display that variable in the footer or login page? Or maybe a session variable that may be available in a session cookie.
