Hi,

I created a Piechart and am trying to save it as Dashboard. I am able to create the dashboard. However when i view the dashboard. The View screen gives me following error. Please suggest what can be the issue

Error in 'PivotProcessor': Unable to fetch datamodelreport REST endpoint '/servicesNS/admin/search/datamodel/pivot/Tutorial' from 'https://127.0.0.1:8089'

I've got the same issue. Whenever I try to save a report/dashboard (Data Model and Pivot Tutorial) the view screen gives me tthe following error:

Error in 'PivotProcessor': Unable to fetch datamodelreport REST endpoint '/servicesNS/admin/search/datamodel/pivot/Tutorial' from 'https://127.0.0.1:8089'

I've changed all data models from private to global!

And I think it is correct that the report/dashboard is trying to use a data model called Tutorial.

Version: Splunk 6.0

See http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/PivotTutorial/Buildtutorialdatamodel
(Create a new data model --> 2)

Here you say that the the id of the data model should be "Tutorial".

I hope you can reproduce the issue when you go through your own tutorial.

This could be a permission issue. Make sure that the user and app combination you are using to view the dashboard has read access to the Tutorial data model.

Based on your original error message, it looks like your dashboard is trying to use a data model called Tutorial, not Buttercope. The Tutorial data model is the one that needs to be changed from private to global.

Also I tried following
1) https://127.0.0.1:8089
2) clicked on ServiceNS
3) Provided credentials (admin/changeme)

It gave me following error
