Dashboards & Visualizations

In order to keep a dashboard stable and live, is there a way to configure automatic login if Splunk service is restarted?

I have a "NOC" dashboard that is being displayed on a wall mount monitor.

Whenever the Splunk service is restarted, the dashboard client is sent back to the login screen. Does anyone know of a way (or perhaps a windows utility) to auto login to a URL and re-login if the connection is severed?

Goal is to keep the dashboard alive 24/7 and log back in automatically if the server is rebooted

Try this

Enable a user (generic user with simple password)
eg: noc_user password=changeme

in web.conf (edit and restart splunk)

enable_insecure_login = true

then ensure the URL is:

hostname:8000/en-GB/account/insecurelogin?username=noc_user&password=changeme
