Why is the splunklib.client giving an error "ssl.SSLError: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:579)"?

Import splunklib.client as client

HOST = "localhost"
PORT = 8089
USERNAME = "admin"
PASSWORD = "Qwerty@123"

service = client.connect(
    host=HOST,
    port=PORT,
    username=USERNAME,
    password=PASSWORD)
for app in service.apps:
    print app.name

I too would like to know how you bypassed the SSL?

So... How did you bypass the SSL? Did you simply make your management port non SSL, or is there more to it?
