Splunk DB Connect 2: How to ingest data from a large number of databases in bulk without configuring each one separately?

Hello,

We have a massive number of databases that we are interested in ingesting into Splunk with DB Connect 2. We have attempted a few and it looks like we need to configure each one separately. Is there a way to bulk load these? We are looking at somewhere in the upwards of 6000 Databases, both Oracle and MS SQL.

Hi, there isn't currently a way to do this (aside from using something outside of Splunk to auto generate the configuration files, which might or might not work). I'd like to learn more about how you'd expect this sort of feature to work though, what do you have in mind?
