All Apps and Add-ons

Looking for Sideview Utils tutorials not hosted on youtube

I want to have a dashboard with a dropdown list to configure a parameter for the search and have been told Sideview Utils is the best thing to use.

The only tutorials i can find are referenced from their site and these are hosted on youtube - youtube is blocked in our (most) corporate environments...

Anyone point me in the direction of any other tutorials?

All the documentation and working examples are in the Sideview Utils app itself. There's over 60 pages of cross-linked pages of documentation such that the app itself is its own tutorial.

For the Pulldown module in particular, this is such a bread-and-butter module that it has many pages of step-by-step walkthrough docs, showing you how to use the module param by param, with working examples embedded in the pages as you go.

Also make sure you're on the latest Sideview Utils, version 2.5, which you can get free for internal use from http://sideviewapps.com/apps/sideview-utils. If you have only version 1.3.5 and Manager is telling you that's the most recent version, that only means it's the most recent version you can download from Splunkbase.
