Training + Certification Discussions

Is there any way to re-validate or renew these certifications?

Hello

I received my certifications for Certified User and Certified Power Use in 2018, and I have been using Splunk since then, taking other courses and classes with the years. I want to do the classes for admin certification and do the exam, but I saw that my certifications appear as inactive in the https://splunkcommunities.force.com/ portal.

There is any way to re-validate or renew these certifications? Or as I already take the class once, is that valid for the prerequisite for the Admin Certification?

Appreciate the help, 🙂

See the recertification policy https://www.splunk.com/pdfs/training/Splunk-Recertification-Policy.pdf

Your old certs have expired and you should start anew.

Good thing is that you can "take a shortcut" and just pass a Power User exam if you feel confident enough - the trainings and User exam are recommended but not mandatory prerequisite.

Having an inactive required certification probably is the same as not having it at all.  You should, however, contact certifications@splunk.com for verification.
