Splunk Search

saved searches double escaping spaces in name

I'm running into an issue where I'm unable to run searches from the searches and reports drop down because the name of the search appears to be getting double escaped. So for example clicking on "Test Search" goes to:
/en-US/app/search/flashtimeline?s=Test%2520Search

which doesn't work, though Test%20Search works. As %25 is the character %, it appears that the search name is getting double escaped. Has anyone ever seen this? Any ideas? This is Splunk 4.2, build 96430.

I have a ticket opened for a similar issue though in a different place (the scripted inputs page in the manager; won't let you delete a scripted input if you have a double quote in the input path).

I added a link to this answers page to my ticket (SPL-39405). Hopefully, both issues will get addressed at the same time.
