Splunk Search

Why am I getting "Maximum disk usage quota has been reached" when searching, even after deleting everything in the job manager?

Hi,

I am having a problem with the disk usage quota. Actually, I have this error message whenever I try to make a search. The thing is, I deleted everything in the job manager and even though nothing remains in there, I still have this message.

How can I solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Even when you close out of a Splunk query, it might still be active until either you delete it or the internet finishes the full search. Calls from external sources might be slower than calling through Splunk's internet site. There can also be multiple tabs under the drop-down menu where your searches are stored. Make sure to check all of the types of searches and not just the defaults. There is an all button for your convenience.

Disk usage quota is based on how much space is available on your splunk instance.

You can change it in settings -> server settings -> general settings -> Pause indexing if free disk space (in MB) falls below *

I already did that but the problem is that it is not a disk space problem...

Is this a distributed search environment? Is there an indexer cluster? Please provide your architecture.
