Why am I getting ERROR: address not found among local interfaces?

Im trying to to change the IP for the Splunk web page from "127.0.0.1" to "x.x.x.x". I've changed both the default and local "mgmtHostPort to match the IP in SPLUNK_BINDIP. Currently the ports are the default ports 8000 for Http.
The error message is Checking HTTP port [x.x.x.x:8000]: not available. Address not found among local interfaces

Hi CCTSplunkster,

You do not need to do any configure changes for accessing Splunk web through LAN IP instead of local IP. You have to just make sure Splunk is properly installed on your machine then you can access it with your LAN IP easily.
