How to search the different versions of a particular software in my environment?

I am looking for assistance in finding the different versions of a particular software in my environment.

There are TAs available for *nix and windows hosts that define inputs.conf for data collection. You would install these on your hosts running with a splunk forwarder or full splunk enterprise and forward events collected to your indexers.

That's a pretty wide-open request. Since none of us are familiar with your environment, it's difficult to give specific guidance. Have you tried a search for the software name in quotation marks? What else have you tried?
