Changing the Master node ip

Is it possible to change the Master node server ip?
I have to change the current Master node with a new machine but I can not reuse the same IP. Which problems I will meet with a new ip?
Thanks a lot.

You will not have a problem with the new server because when you install the Splunk software you will configure it with the correct IP information.

If you have forwarders, then you need to verify that the forwarders are updated to send data to the new IP by changing the IP address in splunk//etc//system//local//outputs.conf.

If you use a deployment server, then you need to verify that the forwarders are updated by changing the IP address in the splunk//etc//system//local//deploymentclient.conf file.

Sorry but I'm talking about a Master node in a cluster scenario, not a simple Indexer...
Thanks anyway.
