Hi,

My Splunk-Light instance (free license) cannot generate PDF reports. It can still export reports to CSV and my license usage is around 150MB/day.

Splunk-light version is 6.6.1

I found the following entries in the pdfgen.log

2017-07-03 17:20:04,946 +0800 INFO pdfgen_endpoint:521 - splunkdConnectionTimeout=30
2017-07-03 17:20:04,999 +0800 ERROR pdfgen_endpoint:487 - Could not access or parse email stanza of alert_actions.conf. Error=[HTTP 402] Current license does not allow the requested action
2017-07-03 17:20:04,999 +0800 INFO pdfgen_endpoint:442 - pdf time-of-report=1499073605.0
2017-07-03 17:20:05,020 +0800 INFO pdfgen_endpoint:428 - pdf-init locale=None
2017-07-03 17:20:05,154 +0800 ERROR pdfgen_utils:487 - Bailing out of Integrated PDF Generation. Exception raised while preparing to render "Redact-Report-Name" to PDF. 'PDFGenHandler' object has no attribute '_requestSettings'

It's in the error message:

2017-07-03 17:20:04,999 +0800 ERROR pdfgen_endpoint:487 - Could not access or parse email stanza of alert_actions.conf. Error=[HTTP 402] Current license does not allow the requested action

although I didn't find any docs that could confirm this.

Still have not resolved this issue - I have tried updating the splunk-light to latest version but still the same results. I am also having license warnings:

This pool has exceeded its configured poolsize=0 bytes. A warning has been recorded for all members
This pool has exceeded its configured poolsize=524288000 bytes. A warning has been recorded for all members

I think the probable solution now is to reinstall splunk-light.
