Change Logo in 6.0

Hey there! I'm trying to change the logo in the upper left hand corner in my 6.0 instance. The 5.0 instructions no longer seem to apply, and the documentation doesn't appear to have been updated. Any suggestions?

Hello,

The question is what to put in the login_content?
which selector can update the logo in the upper left corner?

Hi,

here what I did for 6.1 version:
first copy your my_logo.png in this folder:
/opt/splunk/share/splunk/search_mrsparkle/exposed/img/skins/default

then create (if it doesn't exist) web.conf under:
etc/system/local

with this stanza:
[settings]
updateCheckerBaseURL = 0
login_content =

basically you can put any html syntax here.

hope it works for all you,
Skender K.

Here is the discussion on the changes:
high resolution logo changes

It's covered in step 3 of Developing Views and Apps:

http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.0/AdvancedDev/AddConfigurations

You'll want to go over these changes pertaining to app developers, specifically the location and name of the files...

With Splunk... the answer is always "YES!". It just might require more regex than you're prepared for!

Are you trying to replace it everywhere or just inside individual apps?
