2 seperate indexer cluster with different splunk version

Hello,

We are planning to upgrade our splunk to version 8.1.4. We have 2 separate indexer cluster for 2 different client. All of then is running version 8.0.8. We are planning to upgrade all of our splunk enterprise except for the indexer cluster (composed of 3 splunk indexer servers) of one of our client due to app not supported by 8.1.4.

Will the indexer cluster of the splunk 8.0.8 still continue to function normally even though the rest of the splunk servers (search head, heavy forwarders, and the other client indexer cluster) is on version 8.1.4?

Thank you.

Yes, version 8.0.8 indexers are compatible with 8.1.4 search heads.  See https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.1.4/DistSearch/Distsearchsystemrequirements#Splunk_En...
