What is the web address to use on a local Splunk instance?

i have installed Splunk on my laptop a few months back. Now after the training, I want to use it. What is the web address to use?

usually it is http://localhost:8000 but to make sure check for example the settings in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local/web.conf.
$SPLUNK_HOME refers to the install directory of Splunk, usually in c:\program files\splunk or /opt/splunk.
