Free Trial Instance Login

Trying to log in to a default instance using admin/changeme (long the standard for on-prem splunk).  Does anyone know the default creds for the trial instance?

As of version 7.1+ there is no default password ("changeme").

Also, the method for changing the password has changed. For your version, use the following steps:

Create a file in /op/splunk/etc/system/local/user-seed.conf (or Windows equivalent directory) and add the following parameters:

USERNAME = admin
PASSWORD = newpassword_here

Splunk stopped including a default password for the admin account in version 7-something.

You should receive an email message with your credentials when your trial instance is available.
