licensing model for dockerized apps

We want to monitor a dockerized application. As I understand, we need a machine agent container for docker host metrics and an application agent, a java agent in our case,  to be installed on each container that runs our application in order to monitor our application.

I need a brief explanation about licensing in case of monitoring containerized applications. How many license do I need to have for, lets say 20 containers on a single docker host? Do it has a particular licensing model, or do we need to supply an application license for each container, and a license for machine agent?

Thanks in advance.
