Splunk AppDynamics

What kind of "runbook" or local user guide might a customer want to create for a complex app with AddDynamics?

Separate from the massive amounts of documentation and how-to's available on AppDynamics.com, is it typical for a DevOps team to create a *local* user guide for an AppDynamics implementation? What stuff might be covered, and is there an example, template, or outline of such a local guide?

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting this question on the AppDynamics Community.

As you already know, "AppDynamics implementation" encompasses several components covering the entire Software stack monitoring.

We would appreciate you giving us insight into the specific implementation for which you want to create a customized guide.

In addition to the documentation, we have plenty of customized help and apps available on the AppDynamics Github repo. I recommend that you check out the repo as well to see if useful materials are available.

Hope it helps.

Thank You

Radhika

The part of the solution to be monitored with AppDynamics is an end-user app on Salesforce.com, supported by several sets of RESTful APIs running in Docker containers. Is that enough of a clue?

Hi @Anonymous

Unfortunately, we do not provide templates for developing documentation. However, we have some walkthrough docs for monitoring a sample containerized application. Please see the AD Capital documentation on Github.

Hope it helps.

Thank you

Radhika
