I get this error -

{
"displayText" : "Cannot create application, you do not have a license for End User Monitoring.",
"messageKey" : null,
"localizationBundle" : null,
"showWithNotificationService" : true,
"rootExceptionClass" : "",
"notErrorMessage" : false,
"unauthorizedAccess" : false,
"noDataFound" : false
}

But I have license for EUM as mentioned in dashboard.

I am using AppDynamics Lite version to check out EUM. And, APM is working fine.

AppDynamics Controller build 4.5.0.25261

Java Agent - 4.1.7.1

Please help

Hi Sachin,

You'll need to sync up with your account manager or sales rep for the license extansion; We cannot provide licnese directly to you. Or else you can raise a helpdesk ticket at <https://login.appdynamics.com> and our license team can get you the new license.

You can use the below link for setting up Browser RUM in your saas controller(its actually same for whether its saas or on prem, steps are no different):

https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Set+Up+and+Access+Browser+RUM

Thank You,

Chitra

Hi Sachin,

Can you get me a screenshot of your controller's license screen -> EUM section? Do you have an on prem controller and EUM Server? If so, what is the version of Controller & EUM?

Also Can you get me the  following:

- Controller server logs

- Eum Server logs

- Your license file

Thank You,

Chitra

Hi Chitra,

License screen -

We use Saas Appdynamics Controller which has URL like - https://xxxxx.saas.appdynamics.com/controller

About Appdynamics -

We don't have EUM server.

Since we use Saas controller, we don't have access to controller logs.

Please help us setup Browser Monitoring, it will be helpful.

Hi Sachin,

Could you please share your controller host name? And EUM account name from your license details?

Thanks,

Chitra

Hello Chitra,

Apologies for late reply.

Controller host name - https://townscript.saas.appdynamics.com/controller

I can not find EUM account name in License section. But I found global account name which is Townscript_dd8ead29-ad90-45af-a7b9-9d1d468d4adf

Hi Sachin,

I see that this was your  self-service trial account for EUM which seems to have been expired by now and hence the reason you wont be able to create any app for EUM now and you can refer to the below link about how you can renew it as a next step

https://www.appdynamics.com/ui/freemium/lite

https://www.appdynamics.com/pricing/

I'm sure you would be getting the below message whenever you log into your controller

We hope you enjoyed using AppDynamics Pro! Your trial license has expired, but we invite you to continue using AppDynamics Lite for free. Learn more about AppDynamics Lite here.

Regards,

Mohammed Rayan

Hi Mohammed,

Thanks for quick reply!

I am able to login in controller https://townscript.saas.appdynamics.com/controller There is no error when I login. I have shared my license page screenshot in this thread.

Even, I am able to monitor Java APM and Database Visibility. When I create browser app from wizard, I get following error -

"Cannot create application, you do not have a license for End User Monitoring."

If it is related to license expiry, can you give us 7 days trial to experience the usage of end user monitoring through browser app. And, we will need steps to setup browser app on Saas controller.

Thanks,
