How to move configuration from test environment to production?

We have a sizable amount of configurations done in our appD test environment setup, like BTs, dashboard and alerting.

Now I want to have the same thing in production - how do I do that?

I've been told that there's an unsupported tool to export and import but it would be the only way.

I want to make sure that my production configuration matches my test environment configuration (with some parameters of course). How do I do that?

I'd be grateful for any pointers.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting your question on the AppDynamics Community.

To export configuration from test to production environment, you need the Config Exporter tool, which is provided by the AppDynamics Professional Service as part of the license agreement.

To engage with Professional Service, please contact your AppDynamics representative at your organization.

Hope it helps.

Hi, do you know how I can get the latest version of the Config Explorer? I was using the 4.2.15 beta version which will not work with our recently upgraded controllers using 4.4 version.

Thank you.
