HI.
when i want to run splunk web in local ip address IPV4, i do like this:
127.0.0.1:8000
or
localhost:8000
how to run it with local ip address IPV6 ?
thank.
HI fdio1
To configure how Splunk listens on IPv6:
Edit a copy of server.conf in
$SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local than add this
listenOnIPv6=yes
yes mean that splunkd will listen for connections from both IPv6
for any problem on this take a look the documentation
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.2.2/Admin/Howtousethismanual
thanks
add
[settings]
listenOnIPv6=yes
to your etc/system/local/web.conf
Cheers,
Andreas
thank.
but itn' t run.
i try like: ::1:8000
where ::1
is local ip address ipv6.
any idea?
sorry, but i guess i didn't get the point. setting listenOnIPv6=yes opens the tcp/8000 Webgui port on IPv6 for me
C:\Program Files\Splunk\bin>netstat -an | findstr 8000
TCP 0.0.0.0:8000 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP [::]:8000 [::]:0 LISTENING
I can login using http://[myipv6]:8000 ... or do you want to bind to a specific address? this would be server.socket_host=youripv6addr
thank for your information.
i don't solve
