Do I still need to take the Splunk prereqs in order to take the Splunk 6 Admin certification training?

I have been performing Admin level work in our current Splunk instance. I want to take the training for the Admin Cert. Even though I have been performing upgrades, building content. editing conf files..etc. do I still need to take the Splunk prereqs in order to take the Admin Cert training?

Yes, before registering the admin course, you have to compelte power user certification. It's a pre-req to admin certification.

I believe you can jump right into the admin course without taking the Power User course.. But I know you HAVE to take the admin course before they let you take the Admin exam

I just started my admin class today and the instructor said that Splunk recommends to take the Power User courses prior to the admin class, but it doesn't seem to be enforced.
